A receipt is the record of a payment received from an owner: cash, check, or electronic payment. Receipts pay off charges and affect the AR account and the Cash account.
To review a list of receipts
Go to Accounting > Accounts Receivable > Receipts.
Use this page to view existing receipts or to create a new receipt batch.
To help locate receipts, you can:
Click a column header to re-sort the list.
Use the Search field to locate specific receipts; for example, you could enter a resident's name to view all their receipts.
Use the Filters, to limit the receipts shown on the screen.
To create a new receipt batch, click the Add New button at the top of the screen.
Viewing a Single Receipt Record
When you click a line in the Receipts screen, an individual receipt record appears.
On the Receipt screen, you can view information about the receipt and see if it has been deposited or not.
In the lower part of the screen, you can see the charges that were paid off. To go to the Charge screen, click one of the charges in the list.
If the amount of the receipt was less than the charge, the Remaining amount will show the difference. If the receipt was greater than the charge, there will be a line for a prepay.
