Spring 2022 Release

Availability

On April 13, the release was distributed to a group of early adopters -- clients who had shown an interest in one or more of the new features. If you wish to join the group of early adopters for the next release, please contact Support.

The release will be made available to all clients on May 11.

General Features

  • When you review transactions and objects, you can now save your filter settings and reuse them. ("Objects" refers to records such as property records, owner records, vendor records, and so on.)

  • The Previous and Next arrows in the top right of the screen will now take into account the filters used on lists. For example, you filter the list of owners by property. After reviewing one owner, when you click on the Next arrow, Breeze will show the next owner that matches the filter criteria, not the next owner in the database.

  • Email messages (files with the .msg extension) can now be added as attachments to owner records, and so on. This allows you to save an email message in Outlook and attach it to a Breeze record. Note: All emails generated from Breeze are automatically saved.

  • The Global Search feature now supports search by owner codes. Global Search refers to the search box in the upper right-hand corner of the screen; you can use it to search the entire Breeze database.

CondoCafe

  • On the CondoCafe Invite page, you can now filter for specific owners.

  • You can now un-publish documents from the owner portal. Un-publishing a document makes it no longer available to the owner.

Accounting

  • If you print cheques in-house, we have now made it easier to reprint cheques with a new function: Print Checks (In Bulk). Previously you had to reprint cheques one at a time from the payment record, now you can reprint multiple cheques at once.

  • When you set up custom account trees, you can now designate a GL Account that should act as a Percent Divisor. Breeze uses this account when it calculates percentages on income and cash-flow statements.

  • On screens that show unposted batches, the Add button now appears at the top and the bottom of the screen, making it easier to add new transactions.

  • On the Delete Transactions screen, you can now filter by the transaction control number. (The transaction control number is a unique identifier for each transaction.)

  • You can specify how far into the future each user can create transactions. For example, you could allow user A to create transactions up to ten days in the future, while user B is not allowed to create future transactions at all.

  • On the Vendor List screen, the search function will now find matches based on information contained in the Notes field on the Vendor screen.

  • On the Bulk Invoice Approval page, we added a column for the Cash Account used by each invoice. We also made it easier to drill down to individual invoices from this screen.

Changes to Reports and Correspondence

  • For most reports, when you print to PDF, you can now choose the orientation – landscape or portrait.

  • On Activity Feed reports, you can now filter by owner, property, vendor, and unit.

  • The Job Cost Register report now includes a column that shows the category descriptions.

  • The Job Cost Register, Job Cost Detail, and Payment Run reports can now be included in the monthly report packet.

  • For all Owner Correspondence reports, you can now filter by unit.

  • On the Owner Ledger and Owner Statement, the length of the Description field has been increased so that the full description can be displayed.

  • On the Unpaid Charges report, the length of the Property field has been increased so that the full name can be displayed.
