Sale of a Unit (move out)

A move out for Condo or Homeowner's Association would mean that the previous owner has sold the unit or home to another owner. To transfer ownership, review the owner, click Sell Unit and update the unit with the new owner information.

Note: If a user does not see the Sell Unit button, they may not have Sell Unit checked in their Page Access in the Association Settings section.

There is no way to remove or delete an active owner. If an owner is moving out, the owner's profile can be edited to mark them as past and add in the new tenant or other occupant.

Enter the new owner's information including name, email, phone, type of owner, and board member status (if applicable).

Click Save.

The new owner's information screen is displayed.

If the owner had rentable items attached to their unit, those items would be included in the move-out process. Rentable Items would be transferred to the new owner.

Note: There is no way to update the Purchase Date in the toolbox. When completing the move-out process, ensure the Purchase Date is correct prior to saving.
