How do I add a second signature line to cheques?

Note: This is a Breeze Premier feature.

You can add a second signature line to your cheque format, linked to a dollar amount.

For example, your business requires a second signature on any payment over 500.00. In Breeze, you could set up the check formatting so that there will be one signature line if the amount is under 500.00 and two lines if the amount is over 500.00.

To add a second signature line to checks

Go to Accounting > Banking > Bank Accounts.

Open the bank account you want to modify.

Click the Payment Setup tab.

Click the Edit icon (the pencil).

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click Next.

On the second page, click Add Background Text.

This adds a line for an additional signature (line 25).

To format the line, complete the following:

Text

Copy the underscore line from line 24.

Left Edge

5.30

Top

2.90

Amount From

Amount To

Complete these fields as needed. For example, you could enter 500.00 in the Amount From field and 0.00 in the Amount To field. "0.00" means there is no upper limit.

An example is shown below.

The setup means that for cheques under 500.00, there will be one signature line; for cheques over 500.00, there will be two lines.

Click Save.

To add a third signature line

Repeat the procedure to add a third line for signatures.
