This article describes how to edit an unposted JE.
In Breeze Premier, journal entries (JEs) are processed in batches. After you post a JE, you cannot edit it; you can only reverse it.
If you turn off batch processing, you can create a transaction that is not part of a batch. But when you save it, Breeze posts it automatically, and because it is posted, you cannot edit it; you can only reverse it.
To edit an unposted journal entry
Go to Accounting > Batches.
Locate the journal batch that contains the journal you want to edit and open it.
In the batch screen, open the journal.
Click the Edit icon (the pencil). All the fields on the screen become editable.
Make changes as needed; for example, you can change the amount in each line, as long as the journal remains balanced.
Click Save.
Note: JEs in unposted batches do not appear on the Journals screen (Accounting > General Ledger > Journals). You can only access them on the Batches screen.
